I’ve been in a drawing mood lately, and got a drawing book for Christmas and its all on how to draw without a model, I must say after drawing so many horses and knowing the anatomy of them and all the complexities of how they all work, its actually much easier to draw humans than horses
Ok this is part of the new tutorial that I will be doing, how to spot a fake, I just drew this so that ya’ll would know that I did draw the line art…. and if you would like the line art just note me!
He was a lot of fun to do! Took me about4-5 hours, the shading was a pain in teh butt but I think well worth it in the end!!!
Comments welcome I sorta know what my mistakes are! But would appreciate help!
A belated Christmas present to: everyone on my watch list
*edit*
i got me pencils out and darkend the fellah
wow! literaly! Fantastic how you have caught the light on his tail especially .... gorgeous neck and head .... although maybe some even lighter bits needed on the face? But to be honest this is just a magnificant piece and the only thing that could be improved is to possibly make hs forelock less flat.
this is just beautiful! the lighting on it is very good.
my only crit would be that as a fresian the shadows would be darker all over his body...that dark patch on his stifle is rather distracting from the rest of the image because just that part is higher contrast then the rest of the pic....
otherwise its fabulous i love the pose.

thanks for pointing that out!! i just posted the edited image tho i'm not sure if it was such a good idea to make him darker the scan came out wierd so i had to darken it slightly in photoshop so the black stuff came out BLACK!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I don’t want to mark any specific errors, except for what my art teachers used to say... you need more contrasts
